How Does Solar Work?      

The sun delivers more energy to earth in one day than humanity consumes in one year.  Installing a solar system captures your share of this renewable resource to offset your homes energy needs.  That solar energy enters your solar panels and is converted into DC electricity.  A device called an inverter changes that energy into AC electricity (this is the type you use in your home).  This clean energy from your system replaces energy that would other wise come from a power plant.  When you produce more then you are using, the excess electricity flows back out through your electrical meter onto the power grid.  Your meter records the amount that is sent out and your utility company gives you credits for future use when you are using more then you are producing.
